Cancer used to be a word that I had heard of and knew existed but didn't understand how it feels. I still do not understand all about cancer. I only know now how it makes my heart feel each time I hear that word. I know the feeling deep in my stomach when I hear someone has just had a cancer diagnosis.
After my Dad and my sister died of cancer I feel its impact deeper. It's a horrible disease. I wish it didn't exist. I know many of you feel the same way.
Each October I remember my sister being a bit put off by all the attention given to Breast Cancer. She was an oncology nurse. She helped many with so many different types of cancer struggle. She wished all cancers received as much attention through the whole year.
Cancer is symbolized by many colors. Today cancer as a whole has one color to represent it - Lavendar. A few ladies at Cr8 Fitness knew my heart on cancer and designed this T-shirt. They'd like to use it as a fundraiser for cancer research.

Cancer is a nasty word. There are many working to help find new treatments for cancers. Even more are caring daily for those effected now. I don't even know how to put into words those with cancer.
Our hearts are united in the fact:
- We wish cancer was always curable
- We don't know exactly how each person feels
- We want to help people dealing with it today
- We'll stay close by to those struggling with it
- And we want to give!
Because Cancer doesn't have any limits.
My family isn't a rare exception. Dealing with cancer is a reality. Please purchase one of these shirts. The cost is $20. Everything above the cost to create the shirt will be given to Conquer.org This is an ASCO Foundation. (American Society of Clinical Oncology). We chose this group as they use much of their donations for research.
This shirt can be purchased during November. Send an email to nancy@cr8fitness.com to order your shirt or sign up for your shirt at Cr8 Fitness by November 11th. Please pay for your shirt when you order. Since these shirts were created and being made by caring ladies at Cr8 Fitness they are a cash only purchase.
I'm going to be the first one to have my name on that list to buy one of these shirts. Each time I wear this shirt I'm saying more than - I know Cancer exists. I am saying "I see and feel the needs' of those close enough to read the shirt because in some way they are dealing with Cancer.
